Star Wars: Westworld's Thandie Newton in Talks to Join Han Solo Movie

Han Solo movie is happening and as the days progress we are getting more confirmations about the behind the camera and on-camera cast and crew.

But going from her recent portrayal of a street smart brothel owner android in HBO series Westworld, one can speculate that Newton may play another firebrand character maybe giving a tough time to young Han Solo.

If she does join, she'll be among the likes of Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke and Woody Harrelson on the spin-off - with Alden Ehrenreich of course playing the young Han himself.

These are not all the characters that will be featured in the movie however.

Season's biggest snowstorm could dump 18 inches on Northeast
Some attractions also changed schedules Thursday such as the Adventure Aquarium in Camden that would open late at noon. Heavy snow and high winds associated with Winter Storm Niko are complicating travel across the Northeast U.S.

It was only the other day we heard that Fleabag actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge might be joiningthe Han Solo Star Wars Anthology film, but now Variety is reporting yet another name for the film. For example, Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon Jinn and Sir Alec Guinness as Obi-Wan Kenobi performed this same role in their respective Star Wars movies.

As for Newton, she is a great match for Star Wars.

Newton is coming off of SAG and Golden Globe nominations for Westworld.

And just to show you her liking for kickass ladies, Newton named one of her daughters Ripley, after Sigourney Weaver's Alien-killing heroine. She's scheduled to reprise her role later this year when Westworld's second season begins production. On the big screen, Newton has starred in films like The Pursuit of Happyness, The Chronicles Riddick and Mission: Impossible 2.
