Rian Johnson debuts teaser trailer for 'The Last Jedi'

With Harrison Ford's Han Solo murdered in "The Force Awakens", and Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker evidently the actual last Jedi, that means this episode of the epic space opera will bring to an end the original trio of beloved characters.

Ridley said part of the story in The Last Jedi is that it can be hard to "meet your heroes".

Johnson said the movie, scheduled for release in December, is still in post production. Fisher died in December, but filmed scenes in The Last Jedi before her death. I'm not the only part in that equation, but I think the people deserve to have her. The first trailer for the new film is just over 2 minutes and doesn't give much when it comes to storyline, but it does manage to whet our appetite and get us excited for more.

A new poster of the movie has also been released, offering an awesome look at Luke Skywalker, Kylo Ren and Rey.

Amidst the hoopla at this weekend's Star Wars Celebration, there was a bit of therapy.

Carrie will not be recreated digitally for the movie, meaning Leia will feature in the Star Wars movies for the final time in The Last Jedi. Those rumors were quickly shot down, but recent comments made by Todd Fisher, Carrie's brother, got the conversation started again: according to him, footage of the late actress would be used in Episode IX.
