It said last week it expects its operating profit in the first quarter was 9.9 trillion won (US$8.8 billion), up 48 percent from 6.7 trillion won in the same period a year ago, helped largely by growth in its components business. Key features of Bixby, including Vision, Home and Reminder, will be available with the global launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8 on April 21. Things were not-so-good for Samsung, and senior executives were heard telling the media that Samsung was going to take to revive its lost glory.

The smartphone would go on sale in South Korea, US and Canada on 21 April. With the rest of the world, it is easy to estimate that Samsung sold millions of the S8, and it seem like that customers didn't lose the trust is the company after the Note 7 blow up fiasco.

Samsung Galaxy X may be the first dual-screen bendable smartphone by Samsung. It has been working to restore its reputation since the Note 7's withdrawal last October after just two months on the market, which cost it the equivalent of five billion euros in profit.

Samsung started sending out text messages for those who pre-ordered the Galaxy S8 and informed them they're already "packing" the device and so you might already be seeing charges on the credit card you used to pre-order it. It doesn't hurt that the completely redesigned Galaxy S8, which has a curved screen on both sides, has garnered a lot of strong reviews ahead of the shipment date, boosting demand.

The countdown begins! Recently, Samsung came up with its new Galaxy S8 mobile phone.

Samsung said Thursday that preorders for its new S8 phone had surpassed the preorders for its prior model, the S7.

Samsung's flagship Galaxy S8 smartphone has received more pre-orders than its predecessor, the Galaxy S7, according to Dong-jin Koh, President of Mobile at Samsung Electronics Co.

The Galaxy S8 is also equipped with fingerprint, iris and facial recognition sensors that will be connected to Samsung Pass, a biometric authentication service.
