Israel's prison authority on Sunday shared a video of what it says is jailed Palestinian leader Marwan Barghouti eating after weeks of leading hundreds on a hunger strike.
The prisoners are demanding better conditions, including more family visits.
"A video released by the Israel Prison Service (IPS) shows security camera recordings of Barghouti eating cookies and salted snacks in the toilet stall of his prison cell during the hunger strike".
-Detainees carry on the battle of freedom and dignity in the Israeli jails, in request for their basic demands which are denied by the prisons' administration, and which was achieved previously through embarking many hunger strikes.
In parallel with the strike, local solidarity activities continue with the striking prisoners throughout the Palestinian governorates, while Arab and European cities and capitals witness other solidarity activities with the prisoners.
"The prisoners are familiar with Israel's lies and games, and the video they released signals the beginning of [Israel's] fall", she said.
Barghouti, a leader of the second Palestinian uprising, is serving five life terms after being convicted by an Israeli court of directing two shooting attacks and a bombing that killed five people. One said, "Pizza Hut taking advantage of the hunger strike to make some money".
