Tillerson Says Russia Meddled In US Election, No 'Clean Slate' With Moscow

U.S. President Donald Trump did not discuss "sources, methods or military operations" in his meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said on Monday, after reports that Trump disclosed classified information.

Unsurprisingly, it was a topic that came up for Secretary of State Rex Tillerson during NBC News's "Meet the Press" on Sunday, who told host Chuck Todd that he does not take the president's "confidence" in him for granted. I think the point that I was making, Chuck, in that message to State Department employees is an important one to understand.

Asked about USA intelligence reports that Russia meddled in last year's United States presidential election campaign, Tillerson said, "I don't think there's any question that the Russians were playing around in our electoral processes".

One of those national security objectives, Tillerson said, is to try to establish a better relationship with Russian Federation despite that nation's interference in last year's US presidential election.

"I think terms like having a reset are overused".

Tillerson said he thinks it's in the interest of the American people and of those around the world that the USA tries to improve its relationship with Russian Federation.

However, "it's inconclusive as to what, if any, effect it had", he added.

Hackers threaten to leak unreleased Disney movie if not paid 'huge' ransom
Joachim Ronning, the director of the films series, crushed the rumors alleging this would be the last installment of the series. The hackers threatened to release the film unless the studio paid a ransom, but Iger said Disney is refusing to pay.

Tillerson said that debate over Comey's firing doesn't affect him and that he understands the line between serving the president and serving the people. And I have great respect for the senator.

Kislyak is a major figure in the investigation of Russian interference.

Mr McMaster clarified his comments on Tuesday, saying: "What I'm saying is really the premise of that article is false". "A policy has to be tailored to the individual situation".

"Everything we wished to be said about that meeting had already been said", he recalled.

"America's values of freedom, of treatment of people, human dignity, freedom of expression throughout the world, those are our values", Tillerson said.

When asked what the line was between service to the country and the president was, Tillerson stated that he would never compromise his own values.
